The collection contains over 1,000 paintings, drawings and prints, covering a wide range of Royal Artillery subjects including famous Gunners and actions from the Regiment’s history. Some of the artists were themselves Gunners; there is a large collection of early 20th century watercolours by Major John Walford, for example, and some exceptional late 18th century drawings made in Gibraltar by Lieutenant George Frederick Koehler.

There is a small collection of sculptures, most notably a maquette produced by Charles Sargeant Jagger when he was designing the RA Memorial at Hyde Park, and some examples of trench art and other decorative items created from shell cases, many produced by Gunners on (or close to) the front line. There are also over 100 pieces of embroidery with Royal Artillery connections.
